
UPDATE: JUNE 23, 2024 After much thought and discussion, we have stopped intake of all new kittens/cats. HOWEVER: If you have previously adopted from us and are unable to continue to care for the cat(s), you MUST return them to BSK per your adoption contract and these cats will always be welcome. We will continue to help the community with TNR and assist other rescues when able. We are transitioning to a sanctuary for the feral kittens that have become cats and are considered not adoptable at this point.
Back Street Kittens, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, incorporated in the state of Georgia, Feb. 2019 and was based in Duluth, Georgia. We moved to Dacula in April 2022. We are a very small group of volunteers working to rescue feral kittens and help reduce the feral population in the local area. The inspiration for BSK came from 5 feral kittens that our founder rescued from her own back yard. 5 young, very sick, feral kittens that no local rescue group was interested in helping because they were “feral”.

Teresa is our founder. She has always loved animals, not just cats but all animals. In 2012 she became a volunteer with a cat rescue group. She started out cleaning cat rooms, then became a foster, then a manager for an adoption center and an adoption counselor. Since then she has adopted 18 cats and fostered close to 200.
